Ah, sorry. Your question was ambiguous. And it turns out that Marcel was one of several siblings who where artists. See his Wikipedia entry for the names of the others. None appear to have Wikipedia pages, though, so their contributions don’t appear to have been as significant.

As for which work of his I am going to use in my project, I honestly don’t know yet. I haven’t chosen one at this point. I’d like to choose something a bit less obvious than the big, well known ones, just because.

As for Nude Descending A Staircase, Anne loves it too, but I really don’t. I don’t see anything recognizably human in it, nor anything really implying the movement of an organism. For me, it’s a jumble of muted colours that doesn’t communicate much. I feel that way about most cubist art, sadly. It doesn’t feel like a successful movement in my case. But I am prepared to learn more and revise that opinion.
