Haha! She’s cool, actually. I will probably try to chat with her about that drawing and see what she would have liked, but she definitely prefers open compositions rather than closed ones. (Open, in this case, means you don’t see all of the subject… some is beyond the edges of the image.) It’s cool. I still got an A on that drawing when you do the math. Just not a perfect score.

And yes, it’s all subjective, which is why I am not all that worried about it. As I say, I could have just cropped the paper down to something smaller, so there was less white space around it, but I like that white space. Choices abound.

As for escaping, who knows. We have yet to deal with all the issues around staying here permanently, and even if we can manage it — an open issue, as we’re old — we are still really close the to US. It is what it is, I’m afraid. In another year we should be sorted, we think. Assuming we’re not all dead when a certain orange idiot pushes his big, working button.
