Hehe. Tinkerbelle is a lovely beast, but she’s still a beast, Nikki. I’d be thrilled if I could get her to sleep through the night again, regularly. ;)
On the laser cutter, yes, the one in the Langara makerspace is the one I’ve used, and it (the makerspace) is open during the summer, but I don’t know what the access rules are for it. We have access because we’re in a class that uses it. I don’t know if there is a general way for students to come use it or not. Check with Philip and/or Don (who runs the space) and see what they have to say. Maybe they can help you out. Also note that the makerspace is different from the shop that Brian runs. I’ve seen Brian around, but I don’t know what the shop schedule is over the summer. That may depend on the classes in session. (And all the Fine Arts classes end in a couple of weeks, since they only offer them during the first half session. After that, I have even less of a clue. :)
If you do come to campus, see if we’re in the old design room when you visit and check in. Unless it’s during our final presentation to the city!
