Of course Alex doesn’t expect me (or any other student) to be a professional writer. But is still nice getting compliments from one!
As for Anne, violin (or fiddle, more accurately) is a newish thing for her. Cello has been her primary for decades. But fiddle is something she’s sort of considered for some time, and years ago, when her dad died, she got his fiddles. Locally she’s found a group of fiddle players (called Fiddleheads) and has been playing with them for a month or two. In addition, through them she recently found a local, small group that wanted a cellist as well, and that may get started soon too. So, no orchestra, but she’d tell you she’s pretty burnt out on that repertoire. By the time she left the PSO she’d played so many things a bunch of times, that she really was sick of some of them. This is a new chapter, so she’s doing new things.
