As for the pragmatic approach, to be honest, I haven’t even looked at what might be available without heading for a diploma or degree. That might be an interesting approach, but there are too many variables for me to know what to think about that option just yet. First, finish the diploma, then figure out longer term living arrangements in line with whatever seems to be going on at the time. Only after that is done could such options be considered, and that’s a year off, at least. Possibly two.

If I’d concluded that I wanted to do a BFA or MFA, though, that would require picking an institution to attend in the next few months and getting the application process going. Very different timeline for something like that.
